He was born December 16, 1949 in Springfield, to Harold and Betty Lewis Pope.
He married Patricia Humphrey on September 25, 2001 and she survives.
Also surviving are his children; Larry (Cheryl) Pope of Columbus, OH, William Pope of Springfield, Robin (Tim) Simon of Edinburg and Tim (Dena) Pope of Edinburg; his step-children, Nathan, (Tabitha) Spann of Girard, Shelley (Steve) Baker of Riverton and Jeramey Spann (Stella Conway) of Virden; twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry retired from HD Smith as a Warehouse Supervisor after forty-three years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. He also enjoyed working part time for Lincoln Greens after retirement.
