In Loretta's early years, she worked for the Mead Ordnance plant during WWII as a fork lift operator. She spent several years as a purchasing manager at National Bellas Hess in Kansas City, MO before starting a career with the Greater Credit Bureau in Kansas City. Loretta worked for them as a collector until her retirement in 1983. Her greatest love was spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by husband of 56 years Gerald R. "Bob" Brophy; daughter Cindy White of Texas; sons: Kenny (Marsha) Danner of Ashland and Dick (Wanda) Danner of Philadelphia, MS; step-children: Vaunda Lee (Bill) Schwenck of Arizona, Bob (Maurine) Brophy of Arizona, Jerry (Marge) Kershner of Minden, NE; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild; half-siblings: Carl (Karen) Campbell of Ashland, Bob Campbell of Lincoln, Phyllis Johnson of Ashland, Norma (Ryland) Giles of Ceresco; brother-in-law Francis Brophy of Cambridge, NE; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Alta Campbell and 14 siblings.∼Loretta married Gerald Robert "Bob" Brophy on April 23, 1960 in Seward, Nebraska.
Loretta is the mother of Cindy, Kenny & Dick.
