Naomi “June” Fuget, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at her home in Carthage. June was born March 27, 1929 in Carthage to Marshal Ralph L. Hooker and Naomi “Wright” Hooker. June was a lifetime resident of Carthage and a beautician for over 50 years. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Carthage and a member of the Eastern Star in Joplin.
June was united in marriage to James “Jim” S. Fuget on August 29, 1966 in Miami, OK; he preceded her in death on May 3, 1973.
June is survived by three daughters, Margaret Plummer (Jim) of Shawnee, KS, Charlotte Rush of Joplin and Sandy Maldonado (Francisco) of Carthage; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Stacy, Alicia, Arik, Rachel, Hannah and Jamie, along with 12 great grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Hooker.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Fairview Christian Church Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
