Ann Harris, 61, of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 11:55 p. m. at Langdale Hospice. She was born in Lowndes County on July 13, 1958 to the late Houston and Sara Francis Fender Holmes. Ann was a hard worker at Madison Metal in Madison, FL. She enjoyed her work, people, her family always came first, especially her two sons. Ann enjoyed going to Senoia, GA where “The Walking Dead” was filmed and she was the shows number one fan. She was a kindhearted woman and the greatest Mom and sister. Ann loved her animals.
Her family will miss her dearly, including her two sons, Charles Russell Ashley, Jr. (Christa) and Herbert Harris, her brother, Charles Ashley, Sr., her three sisters, Susan Kimsey, Linda Whetzel and Virginia Howell, along with many others that she raised as family. She joins her brother, Roy Houston Holmes.
Please join the family at a memorial service Saturday, February 22, 2020 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Frank Gupton officiating.
