On August 20, 1942, she married Lyle Rex Miles. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Miles; sister, Bonnie Christine Wiley; son-in-law, Marion Barker.
Phyllis worked as a clerk for Places Store in Bethany for many years and also as a medical technician at Crestview Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Moriah, MO.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Barker, Bethany, MO; son Gary (Helen) Miles; daughter-in-law, Madelyn Miles both of Mt. Moriah, MO; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Wiley and Louise Wiley both of Bethany, MO.
