Bobby Ray Austin, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his home.

He was born August 13, 1939 in Rivervale, to the late Rubin and Lucille Bogard Austin. He owned and operated the family business, Austin Auto Sales and Salvage. He married Mildred Crabtree Austin in November of 1959 and they enjoyed 54 years together.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Austin in 2014; two sisters, Charlene Taft and Shirley Austin.

He is survived by a daughter, Kim Pettit and her fiancée Jim Taylor; one son, Ricky Austin and his wife Deborah all of Caraway; a sister, Gladys Huskey (R.V.); four grandchildren, Michael Pettit, Renee Pettit, Devon Austin and Ryan Austin; a great-grandson, Kenneth Hill and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life conducted 3:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers: Ronald Dewailly, Wade Pettit, Eddie Whitehead, Danny Austin, Gary Fletcher and Gary Toombs.
