David, 76, of Leslie, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2020 at McLaren Hospital. He was born to Walter and Maurita Bauer.
Dave graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1962, and he retired from Dana Corporation in Chelsea. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, vacationing in Mackinaw City, doing yard work, and he loved his old cars. He especially loved watching his grandson play sports.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Connie; daughters, Michelle Bauer and Christina Bauer (Jerry Reed); step-son, Erick Hegge; grandchildren: Nicholas Dunham, Autumn Doxtader, and Christian Reed; great-grandsons, Ian and Liam; his faithful canine companion, Sweetie; and life-time friend, Jimmie Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Bauer; and sister, Donnajune Thompson.
A funeral service honoring Dave’s life was held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Vickers Leslie Funeral Home, in Leslie, with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. Dave will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Leslie, after the service.
