Mary Jane Dorsey, age 93, of Houston, Texas went to be with her Lord February 18, 2020. Mary Jane was born September 7, 1926 in Houston, Texas to Victor Francis and Pauline Bruns Francis. Mary Jane grew up in Fredericksburg and the Houston area. She married Pryor Harris Wilson Jr. in 1953. They had two daughters, Deborah and Denise. Pryor passed away in 1961. In 1980 Mary Jane married William J. Dorsey (Bill). Mary Jane and Bill worked for and retired from the Weingarten's grocery store chain. They enjoyed traveling and visiting relatives. Bill passed away in 1995. Mary Jane is survived by 2 daughters, 7 grand children,14 great grand children and her sister Margie Faye. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy, Charles, Hazel, Helen, Katherine Ann, and Audrey. She was a long time member of Market Street Baptist Church and later Uvalde Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir. She regularly met with friends for seniors game night at Market Street and for Gospel Singing night. Mary Jane had a servant's heart and was very involved in church and volunteer activities. She received awards for her volunteer work. Mary Jane did not know a stranger and was a dispenser of hugs and kind words.
