Mrs. Annie Lois Morris Young of Cordele, Georgia died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 A. M. in the sanctuary of the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Oakfield, Georgia.

The burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Oakfield, Georgia.

Our loving and caring Father, blessed Ms. Maxine Morris with the birth of a daughter on May 15, 1962. She named her wonderful blessing, Annie Lois.

Early in life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Oakfield, Georgia. She served faithful as President of the Senior Usher Board. Her love for the Lord, for the people of God and for singing was always evident by her support of the Zion Grove Choirs and the Gospel Travelers of Oakfield.

A product of the Worth County School System, Annie Lois was a proud 1980 graduate of Worth County High School in Sylvester, Georgia. After the completion of high school, she attended South Georgia Technical School where she studied Nursing. For over 20 years she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

While Annie Lois possessed a quiet spirit, she was very friendly. She loved people and never met a stranger. Even as a child, she loved playing Softball and making people laugh. An excellent cook, she enjoyed cooking for family gatherings.

On Thursday, March 21, 2019, our beloved slipped away. While our hearts are saddened that she is gone, we rejoice in knowing that she is at peace. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Benits Brenda Batten. Her five aunts and uncles, also precede her in death.
