Mr. Gaskins, son of the late John Arthur & Annie Buck Gaskins, was a lifelong resident of the Vanceboro community. A farmer by trade, he loved the farm life.
Mr. Gaskins was preceded in death by his brothers, John Artis Gaskins, William Earl Gaskins, and S.L. Gaskins.
Surviving family members are; wife of 65 years, Stella Alligood Gaskins; son, Sherrell Gaskins (Jane), of Monroe; daughter, Vicki Gaskins Brown (John), of Vanceboro; grandchildren, John Ashley Brown (Spencer),Jenny Brown Younce (Landon), all of Greenville, Jessica Brown Park (David), of Clayton, Jeremy Gaskins (Brittany), and Shirley Gaskins, all of Monroe.
