CYNTHIA "CINDY" MAUREEN LONG-ADAIR, 58, beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend, entered eternal life on Monday, November 9, 2015. She entered this world on December 16, 1956 at William Beaumont Army Hospital, born to Jacqueline F. Provost and MSgt George R. Sanders. "Cindy" as she was fondly known to her family and friends was a graduate of Las Cruces High School Class of '74. She gave 25 years of service to NMSU, having worked in the Department of Surveying and the Dean's office in the College of Engineering. Cindy is survived by her husband, Vance Adair; mother, Jacqueline (Jackie) F. Sanders; children, Krista M. Daniel, Heather N. Barela and husband Gilbert A. Barela of Las Cruces, and Kevin Wade Long of Maryland; brother, Kevin D. Sanders and wife Lisa of Arlington, TX; six grandchildren, Jacob, Mathew, and Christopher Daniel of Macomb, OK, and Gilbert D., Anissa, and Garrett Barela of Las Cruces; dear family friend, Tiffany Becker of Las Cruces, and many more close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George R. Sanders; uncles, George R. Provost and Wilfred N. Provost; maternal grandparents, Dorothy L. Bernier and Leo A. Bernier; and brother, Gerald Moreno. Visitation will begin at 9 AM Friday, November 13, 2015 in Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 AM with Pastor Tim Brunk officiating. Cremation will follow and Inurnment of Cremains will take place at a later date. A reception will follow at 12:00 PM in First Church of the Nazarene, 1900 S. Locust St, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
