SMSGT (Ret) Ernest Coleman Wilson, USAF age 74 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday January 29, 2020 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
SMSGT Wilson was born November 5, 1945, in Thomaston, GA.to the late Jeff Coleman Wilson and the late Sarah Frances Holt Wilson. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 26 years of service. He served in Vietnam, some of his military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Suse Garcia Wilson. He is survived by his son, Ernest Wilson II of Gulf Port, MS., daughter, Chrisinda Wilson Alspaugh (Ronny) Gulf Port, MS., sister, Sara Wilson (Jimmy) Harrell of Thomaston, GA., grandchildren, Bobby Nieto, Rheno Nieto, Na'tah'ni Alspaugh, Dakkota Alspaugh and Keaoni Alspaugh, and eleven great-grandchildren, Alicia Nieto-Guerra, Juaell Nieto, Marcella Nieto-Guerra, Leyandro Nieto, Richard Nieto-Guerra, Novaleigh Alspaugh, Angelito Kalani-Nieto, Angelina Nieto, Cheveyo Alspaugh, Adonis Nieto and Emmarie Nieto
Funeral services for SMSGT Wilson will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
