Born in New Mexico, Cleta Mae was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene Evans. She was a member of the We Care Program at Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was also a member of Mount Zion Christian Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Michael Turner; daughter, Pam Gross and husband Kim of St. Augustine, Fla.; four sisters; grandchildren, David Pope, Jennifer Gross, Kim Gross Jr., Justin Gross; and great-granddaughter, Judith Pope.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, May 15, at 11 a.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434 by the Rev. Carl Le Mon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the We Care Program, Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1589 Steeple Drive, Suffolk, VA 23433.
