Larry Preston Kersey Sr., 84, of Lynn Haven, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. He was born October 27, 1935 in Thomaston, Georgia to Cecil Loring Kersey & Dove Blount Kersey. He was a retired electronic technician. Larry enjoyed in his spare time, playing golf, tennis and working in his yard. He was an avid Florida State University fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Kersey, parents, and two sisters, Carole Lark and Patricia Valle. He is survived by a son, Larry Preston Kersey Jr.; three grandchildren, Alan Kersey (Nikki), Trey Kersey (Alison Maynes), Leslie Chesnee (Daniel). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Rev. John Blount officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the St. Andrew United Methodist Church Building Fund in memory of Larry Kersey.
