Mr. Sackett--HYDE PARK Robert Lloyd Sackett, 62, of Marshall Drive, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Sackett was employed with the Fargo Manufacturing Company for 35 years before his retirement In April 1977.
A local resident for most of his life, Mr. Sackett was born in Wilkes Barre, on Nov. 9, 1916, the son of Harry Sackett and Edith Knorr, and educated in Poughkeepsle schools. He was married in Sharon, on Aug. 10, 1948, to the former Wanda M. Robinson, who survives.
Mr. Sackett was a member of the Arlington Reformed Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four sons, Robert, Bruce, Michael and Harry, all of Poughkeepsle; five daughters, Sharon, Anita and Wendy Sackett, all of Poughkeepsle, Mrs. Judy Crocco and Mrs. Mary Cornelius, both of Poughkeepsle; a sister, Mrs. Florence Daly of Poughkeepsle; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 m. at the Parmele Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Town of Poughkeepsle.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10 30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Benjamin LeFevre officiating.
Burial will be in LaGrange Rural Cemetery.
