Delores was born November 18, 1925 at Fairbury, Nebraska to L.D. and Imo (Yantz) Dark
She married Harvey Robertson on February 20, 1944 at Silver City, IA where they lived until 1960 when they moved to Omaha, NE. She worked for Safeway for a number of years before she retired. She and her husband then drove a truck for J.B. Hunt. She was a former member of the Silver City Methodist Church of Silver City, IA, Christ Community Church of Omaha and a current member of Adams United Methodist Church of Adams, NE.
She was a member of the Swinging Sams Square Dancing Club and the Good Sams Camping Club both of Omaha. She was a volunteer at Mosaic in Beatrice, Gold Crest in Adams and enjoyed quilting, card playing, reading and animals, especially cats.
Delores Robertson, 94, passed away at the Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2020.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pat Miller and husband Darrell LaFollette of Blue Springs, MO; two granddaughters, Chris Graham and husband Andy of Overland Park, KS and Angi Doherty and husband Dan of Dallas, TX; great-granddaughter, Hartley; one brother, Merle Dark of Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harvey (2001) and one son, Michael (2016).
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Adams United Methodist Church Rob Clark officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:30 on Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Silver City Cemetery of Silver City, IA. A memorial has been established to Mosaic of Beatrice. The body will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
