William Lee Tipton, 54, of Christiansburg, died on Monday, the 17th day of February, 2020, at his residence. Born in Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Earl and Nancy Tipton and Beulah Ann Pearson Tipton. He was a member of the Shelby Christian Church. He was a self-employed construction worker. His hobbies and pastimes included fishing and woodworking, and he always looked forward to spending time with his family. A country music fan, he also enjoyed singing.
His survivors include his companion of over twenty-seven years, Leva E. Nowlin of Christiansburg; his daughters, Shea Tyler Tipton of Milltown, Indiana, and Virginia Rose Tipton and her fiancé, Gabe Leemon, of Christiansburg; his sisters, Robin Curtis Tipton of Pleasureville and Janie E. Daily and her husband, Rick, of Shelbyville; his grandson, Ayden Thomas Gadberry; his stepchildren, Patrick C. Nowlin of Louisville, David Wayne Nowlin of Boston, and William C. Nowlin and Ashley Shae Nowlin, both of Louisville; and his ten step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, the 22nd day of February, 2020, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with the Reverend Harry Hebert officiating. Interment will be in the Cropper Cemetery in Cropper, Kentucky.
