July 30, 1944 to February 18, 2020

Pamela J. Ray, 75, of Centralia passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
She was born on July 30, 1944 the daughter of Harley and Thelma (Clifton) Eagan in Centralia. She married her best friend, James Ray on September 20, 1970 in Centralia and he survives in Centralia.

Along with her husband of 49 years, James Ray, survivors that will remember Pamela’s kindness and compassion for others include her cherished children, D. J. Ray of Centralia, and Debra (Robert) of Centralia; precious grandchildren; treasured great-grandchild; caring brothers-in-law, R. Ray (S.), M. Ray (C.), and T. Ray; and kind sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Donnie), and Linda.

Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by both her parents; sister-in-law, Janie Hodge; and brother-in-law, Jerry Ray.

Mrs. Ray was a lady that shared her gentle spirit with everyone she met. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Centralia where she always showed Jesus’ light to others. Pamela served her church as a longtime Sunday school teacher, and also shared her beautiful voice as song leader. She loved her church family and felt a special bond with each member. Pamela and her husband Ray had a wonderful, loving marriage and were to celebrate their 50th anniversary this year. Wonderful memories of days spent living to her fullest potential will be treasured by all.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday February 21, 2020 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in rural Sandoval.
Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation time from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
