Roger Dell Sanders, 66, of Edgewood, TX, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019, in Quitman.

Roger Dell Sanders was born on December 29, 1952, in Phoenix, AZ, to parents, Odell Sanders and Peggy Ruth Wilson. He was raised by Bill and Peggy Freeman in Las Angeles, California and attended Glendora High School. Roger joined the United States Army at the age of seventeen and was stationed in Panama. Before becoming disabled Roger worked as an automotive mechanic and lived in the Terrell and Kaufman areas. He married Shelley Null in June of 2014, and they moved to Edgewood to make their home. Roger loved spending time with his family.

Roger is survived by his wife, Shelley Null Sanders of Edgewood; parents, Bill and Peggy Freeman of Kaufman; daughter, Rebecca Sander and spouse, Ekieki Maldona of Maui, Hawaii; grandsons, Kolby and Casey.

Services are to be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
