Lee Roy Turner, 81, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born April 21, 1938 in Jonesboro to the late Fergus Wasson and Alvah Ella Turner.

Lee attended Shiloh United Methodist Church with his wife, Louise Turner. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time at his church, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and spending time working in the yard tending to his garden. He also enjoyed spending time traveling with his beloved wife.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his five brothers, Fergus Wasson Turner Jr., Albert T. Turner, Dee Troy Turner, Robert L. Turner, and Alfred Franklin Turner; and two sisters, Althea Bahus and Charlene Duncan.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Louise Turner; one brother, Jerry Allen Turner; one sister, Anne Johansen; three step-children, Mike Simpkins, Bobby Simpkins, and Lee Simpkins; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service conducted 2:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home, with Mace Straubel officiating.
