Mr. Benny Lee Alexander, Sr. of Cordele, Georgia died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.
Mr. Benny Lee Alexander, Sr. was born October 16, 1951 in Polk County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mr. Jack B. Alexander and the late Mrs. Wilma Robinson.
Benny was educated in the Crisp County School System where he was a graduate of the Crisp County High School. While in high school, he excelled in basketball. Upon the completion of high school, he attended Fort Valley State College in Fort Valley, Georgia. He also played for the Cordele Hawks Basketball League.
As a child, Benny united with the Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He grew up participating in many of the activities of the church.
On Thursday, December 26, 2019 Benny was set free from the pains of this life. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson, Master Bendrick Alexander, Jr.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia.
The burial will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
