Cecelia Binaggio Bates, 78, Lake Lotawana, MO, passed away January 16, 2000, at Research Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, at Holy Rosary Church; burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sebbeto Chapel, where the rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. Ceil was born in Kansas City, MO, and moved to Lake Lotawana 47 years ago. She was a member of the Community Club of the lake as well as the Missouri Yacht Club. Ceil was a graduate of St. Theresa Academy. She enjoyed working the elections for Jackson County. Ceil was a caring mother, a devoted and loving grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Binaggio, of 11 years; and her husband, Joseph Bates of 20 years; daughter, Anita Marie. Ceil is survived by son, John Binnagio Bates; "sister," Josephine Cello; "niece," Cindy Cordsen; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
