Ellen Charlotte (Kohlman) Taylor, 95, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020, at North River Health Campus. Ellen was born in Riverside, Rhode Island on September 5, 1924, to the late Herman A. Kohlman, Sr. and Carlotta (Penniman) Kohlman

She was a graduate of East Providence High School and Edgewood Secretarial School in Providence, RI. Ellen was a member of Main Street Presbyterian Church in Petersburg, IN. She worked as a secretary at Edwards and Angell Law Firm in Rhode Island and later moved to the Jasper area and worked at Tri-Cap Health Services. While working at Tri-Cap, Ellen met and married the love her life, Bill Taylor, and moved to Petersburg, IN. Ellen loved teaching Sunday School, gardening, flowers, and was an avid environmentalist.

Ellen is survived by her nephew, Paul Kohlman (Charlotte); nieces, Joanna Holtman (Larry) and Pat Kohlman; great nieces and nephews, Jeremy Kohlman and Rachel Kohlman and her fiance', Drew Campbell, Lindsey Holtman and Alex Holtman, Jamie Carey (Philip), and Stella Engelhardt.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, William Taylor; her parents; brother, Herman A. Kohlman, Jr. and his wife, Laura; and nephew, David L. Kohlman.

Friends may visit from 3:00 PM (CST) until 5:00 PM (CST) on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Main Street Presbyterian Church, 910 Main St, Petersburg, IN 47567, and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1925 Volkman Rd., Evansville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
