Born February 28, 1990 in Stoughton, MA he was the loving son of Shelley Anne Gurley. Jose was a life long resident of Brockton and was starting his senior year at West Bridgewater High School where he was a star player in basketball and led the football team to win the 2006 super bowl. He was also the third fastest in track and field in New England and broke the school record for speed.
In addition to his mother Shelley Anne Gurley of Brockton he is survived by three brothers Rodney, Shavon and Elijah Gurley all of Brockton; four sisters Tiara, Nykia Sharon and Donna Gurley all of Brockton; his grandparents Fred and Donna Gurley of West Bridgewater; a sister in law Brandy Clinton of Brockton; a niece Lasadia Gurley and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was shot and killed.
