Terry A. Stewart, 65, of Springfield, died at 11:35 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his home.

Terry was born on February 10, 1955, in Springfield, IL, the son of Clyde R. and Lola (Dorworth) Stewart. He married Betty Jean “B.J.” McKinney in 1996, in Springfield.

Terry graduated from Lanphier High School in 1973. He retired from Calvary Cemetery after 37 years of service. Terry enjoyed spending time in his garage and watching T.V.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Terry is survived by his wife, B.J. Stewart; son, James (wife, Beth) Stewart; daughter, Kristen Stewart; step-daughter, Melissa Ann (husband, Greg) Vanderfeltz, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Kyle, Kolton, Kaylie, and Gabrielle; sister, Deborah (husband, James) DeGraff of Springfield; and two nephews, Scott and Matthew.

Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society. Private family ceremonies will be held at a later date.
