She was born in St. Paul, Mininesota. She lived in Palestine for many years after moving here with her husband in 1962. She was baptized and a member of Walston Springs Baptist Church and later in life she attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was family oriented and loved spending time and cooking for all of her kids and grandkids.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel J. Johnson; daughter, Christie A. Johnson; great grandson, Josh Rutledge; her parents and siblings.
She is survived by her five children, Lionel Johnson, Linda Waltson, Don Johnson (Lucinda), Rose Mary Taylor and Sandra Thompson (Junior); 13 grandchildren; Scotty, Lora, Ramona, Denice, Donna, Haylie, Angie, Mike, Mark, Tina, Blake, Wes, and Waylon; 29 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
