Mickey Howard Jones, 83, of Stigler, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at his home. He was born January 30, 1937 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Everett & Leva (Boren) Jones. He grew up in the Eureka area south of Stigler. At the age of 10 he and his family moved to California and he graduated from Mt. Whitney High School and attended college of Sequoia's.
Mickey served his country for 4 years in United States Air Force in the Philippines. He moved back to Oklahoma in the early 1970's. He married in 1982 to Shirley Few and they made their home in Stigler for 36 years until her death in 2017.
Mickey loved fishing, going junking, and enjoyed traveling. He loved his church, Crossroads Freewill Baptist and loved his church family. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren, great grands, and great-great grand.
Mickey is survived by his 6 daughters & sons-in-laws, Carol & Nick Panissidi of Sparks, Nevada, Laraine & Mark Gideon of Eufaula, Lisa & Kevin Martin of Lequire, Laura & Carl Patterson of Lequire, Peggy & Jimmy Seyler of Stigler, Kelly & Earl Spears of Ardmore; 2 sons & a daughter-in-law, Dustin Nelson of Ardmore and Keith & Jane Few of Stigler; 19 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren & 1 on-the-way; 1 great-great-grandchild; his sister & brother-in-law, Charlene & Boyd King of Beaver Mt.
Mickey is preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Leva Jones; his wife, Shirley Jones.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Delmon Eakle officiating. Pallbearers include Caleb Martin, Tyson Martin, Josh Carey, Mason Edwards, Jamie Knoy, Allen Knoy. Honorary Pallbearers include Jacob Seyler, Tyler Labor, Logan Powell, Mickey Dale Edwards.
Burial will follow in Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
