Barbara Joyce (BJ) Walden, age 59 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at her home in Cookeville.
Barbara was born Friday, July 20, 1956 in Cookeville, Tennessee.She was the daughter of the late William D. and Betty Jean (Randolph) Rittenberry.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She spent most of her life caring for other people that needed help in their life. She enjoyed baking cakes, catering, wedding coordinator, and also was a beautician. She liked the simple things in life like being with family, working in her garden and being outdoors.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Ken Walden of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Latishia and Mike Tolbert of Cookeville, TN, Crissy and David Bechler of Livingston, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Carrie, Landon, Payton, Brycen, Alaney, Nathan, Tori, and Courtney; 2 Great Grandchildren: Benson and Zoey; 2 Sisters: Doddie Cash and Lynn Davis; 1 Brother: Gary Rittenberry; 2 Special Friends: Tina Rittenberry and Jean Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Barbara were held Saturday August 29, 2015 from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Isom Cemetery,
