Nina was born on December 28, 1923, in Sherman, Texas, to the late Leo and Anne Hatfield Howdeshell. Nina grew up in Sherman and graduated from Sherman High School before moving to the Dallas area in 1960. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church, Garland.
In 1956, Nina started working for Collins Radio, which later became known as Rockwall International. She went up through the ranks working on the assembly lines and became a quality control inspector. She retired in 1987 after 29 years.
Nina married Paul C. Wood on January 7, 1986, and they enjoyed many years of happiness camping, traveling, and line dancing.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wood; mother, Anne Katheryn (Hatfield) Howdeshell; brothers: Leo Howdeshell, Paul Howdeshell, and Ray Howdeshell; sisters: Anna Guffee, Joyce Colley, Leona Munion, and Jacqueline Pointer; and stepson, Ron Wood.
Survivors include her daughters, Murel Ann (Davis) Lisle, of Kemp, and Rebecca Nell (Davis) Lee, of Garland; son, Eddie Dennis Davis, of Austin; and stepdaughter, Kay Wattenbarger. X5
