Denise Kay Brooks, age 65, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2020. She was born on November 3, 1954 to the late Glenn and Robbie Lee (Canfield) Hardy.
She nourished the people around her with compassion and love. Her joy was found in caring for her family, participating in her church, and recording her family’s special moments. Never missing a sports event, she was her children’s and grandchildren’s greatest cheerleader. She will be most remembered for her servant’s heart toward her family, friends, and community being dearly missed by all who knew her.
Denise is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 46 years, Tommy Brooks; children, Kristi (Jeff) Walker and Brad (Alicia) Brooks; grandchildren, Brett and Preston Walker and Dylan and Lauren Brooks; siblings, Roger (Debi) Hardy and Glenda (John) Hunt and Wallace Ray Hardy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The visitation for Denise will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Helena Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Leslie Rhodes officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.
