Susie was born in St. Jospeh, MI on February 20, 1955. She was raised in West Monroe, LA since she was a young child. She graduated from West Monroe High School and soon married. She became a medical technologist and worked at Glenwood Hospital for many years. Not settling for this, Susie went back and received her bachelors degree in accounting and went to work in the family business, Wilcoxon Enterprises in West Monroe, LA.
Several years ago, she was introduced to the "Women of Hope" where she met David and Connie Herring and Perry and Pam Stone of VOE Ministries. These relationships made a permanent, positive change that would carry her through the rest of her life.
