Obituary
Carolyn Hodges, 83, of Duncanville passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 in DeSoto, Texas. She was born March 28, 1936 in Kilgore, Texas to Haskell and Helen (Goodnight) Foster.

Carolyn could always be found in the midst of a good book as reading was one of her passions in life. She also possessed a fondness for animals including cats, dogs, birds, and even turtles! After Carolyn and Jerry were married she became known as a 'world traveler' as they moved around quite a lot having lived in seven different states as well as Germany. Often times they would stay in one location for as little as six months. She was a member of First Christian Church in Duncanville.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Hodges of Duncanville; brothers, James Foster of Duncanville and Paul Foster and wife Yvonne of Tuscumbia, AL; sister, Imogene Deventer of Duncanville and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hodges; sons, Larry Hodges and Steve Hodges; brother, Alfred Foster and parents, Haskell and Helen Foster.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville. A visitation is set for 5 – 7 pm on Thursday, February 20th at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.
