Funeral services were held today for Evelyn Larsen Payne, 68, a Rancho Mirage resident who died Saturday in her home, A native of Nebraska, Ms. Payne is survived by her husband, Clifford Payne of Rancho Mirage; a brother, Melvin Larsen of Nebraska; three sisters, Dorothy Schuler, Irene Florin and Lillian Gran quist, all of Nebraska. Services were held at the Hope Lutheran Church of Palm Desert with Pastor Daryl M Bjerke, Dr Henry Westby and Pastor Louis Smith officiating. Interment was in Desert Memorial Park, with Palm Springs Mortuary handling the arrangements.
