Phillip O. Pennington, 73, of Symsonia, passed away at 4:22 am on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Phillip was a faithful member of Victory Assembly Worship Center where he enjoyed all church activities. He was a retired mechanic from Lourdes Hospital. Phillip loved farming, hunting, and all things outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Scarlett Cranford Pennington; two step sons, Kelvin Kinkade of Versailles, KY, Joseph Long and wife, Samantha of Balaton MN; two sisters, Loyce Katchur of Wimauma, FL, Sue Morris, of San Antonio, TX; four step grandchildren, Justus Long, Elizabeth Courtney, Cole Russom, and Marshall Russom; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Pennington and Geneva Robey Pennington; and step daughter, Eva Russom. .

Funeral services for Phillip will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Victory Assembly Worship Center with Rev. Gary DeRossett and Rev. Gene Oller officiating. Burial will follow at Brook Hill Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service time of 2:00 p.m. at Victory Assembly Worship Center on Monday.
