Nettie Ruth Robison Johnson, 85, widow of the late Henry Rothie Johnson, died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Johnson was born February 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Keith Willie Robison and Ida Williams Robison.
Mrs. Johnson grew up on a farm in the Pawleys Swamp community of Horry County. She was a member of the First Assembly of God of Georgetown and for years sang in the choir. When her husband was a pastor, Mrs. Johnson and all the children would sing in the church choir. She was one of the greatest Moms. She was a giving, humble, compassionate and a loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She help rear her granddaughter and was always close to her great-grants that lived just down the street. Her family was her joy.
Surviving are: a son, James Durant Johnson of Myrtle Beach; and a daughter, Mary Ruth Johnson of Georgetown; a grandson, Robert James Johnson; a granddaughter, Countessa Ruth Mincey; five great-grandsons, Christopher Logan Mincey, Robert Manuel, Andrew Manuel James Charles Hunter and Elijah Scott Johnson; two great-granddaughters; Mary Payton Wall and Iliana Manuel; and two brothers, Willabee and Peralie Robison.
Funeral Services will be two o’clock Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at the First Assembly of God of Georgetown. Officiating will be the Pastor Chester D Caudill.
The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
