Memorial service and celebration of Robin's life will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate.
Robin was born June 22, 1954 in Grand Island, the son of Kenneth and Bernice (Schmidt) Ross.
At the age of 16, Robin started working at Fonner Park. He worked there over the years with the horses as a farrier and a trainer.
A Jack of all Trades and master of many, Robin was a tech wizard and a salesman.
He was a people person, striking up conversations easily, an advocate of Father's Rights and loved to talk politics.
Family was very important to Robin and he was loyal to those closest to him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Matthew Burmood (Cassandra Jo) of Grand Island and their children, Sophia, Braxton and Oakland; daughter, Crystal Burmood (Steve Parker) of Grand Island and their children, Tasia, Brendon (Michala), and William; stepson, James Burmood of Arizona; the love of his life, Judy Hawthorne of Grand Island; his mother, Bernice Ross of Central City; and two great-grandchildren, Braysen and Ullr. He is also survived by sisters, Rosalee Ross of Wyoming and Melody Kohler of Axtell, NE; and several cousins, including Donny and Susie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ross.
