Jack Dewayne Daugherty, age 84, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. He was born on April 9, 1935 to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Ross) Daugherty in Newark, OH.
Jack proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was a truck driver for Truck One. In his younger years, he was active in Teamsters.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bertha (Wise) Daugherty. He also leaves behind his children, Jackie (Tim) Jaynes, Patty (Steve) Lynn, Cheryl (Gary) Snider, Art (Debbie) Daugherty, and Mike Daugherty; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Banks and Tarry (Paul) Lewis.
In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his siblings, Judy (Harold) Dickerson, Danny (Sondra) Daugherty, and Jim Daugherty.
