Services Saturday For Father Higgins

Services for Rev. Daniel Higgins, S. J., who died Wednesday in Omaha, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Church on the Creighton University campus.

An art teacher at Creighton Prep for about 14 years before his retirement in 1977, Higgins, 64, died of congestive heart failure, according to Jim Cleary, public relations director for Creighton Prep. Cleary said Higgins had suffered from heart problems since February 1978.

Survivors include sisters, Mary Carr, of Chicago, and Mrs. Robert McCabe, of Denver; and brothers, Hugh, of Omaha, and Will, of Council Bluffs.

A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Church.
