Evelyn was a homemaker and lived for many years in Oakland City as well as living in Evansville. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother at Highland School in Evansville, member of 4H in Vanderburgh County, member of Pike County Homemakers Extension Club, V.F.W. Post 1114 Ladies Auxiliary. She attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oakland City.
She is survived by 5 children, Clinton Stewart (Peggy), Carlene Robb (David), Calvin Stewart (Trudy), Carter Stewart (Judy), Cathy Ogg-Isaacs (Stacy), and Curtis Stewart; 14 grandchildren, Rachel Seal, Karen Welch, Sandra Ricketts, Suzanne Harris, John Robb, Michelle Gammill, Kelly Robb, Douglas Robb, Kimberly Stewart, Justin Stewart, Vanessa Stewart, Matt Ogg, Lori Marvel and Chelsea Stewart; 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. Stewart; 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a son-in-law.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday February 19, 2020 with the Rev. Tom Hubachek officiating. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Visitation will from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday.
