A retired teacher's aide in Virginia Beach Public School System, Mrs. Honeycutt was a Nash County, N.C., native and the widow of Josephus Daniel Honeycutt. She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and the Navy Wives Club.
Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Devereux and Teresa Honeycutt, both of Virginia Beach, Susan Rhoades of Colorado and Cindy Honeycutt of California; two sons, Joe Honeycutt of North Carolina and Steve Honeycutt of Virginia Beach; two brothers, William J. Murray of North Carolina and Percy J. Murray of Virginia Beach; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
