Donald Lee Stauffer, 67, of the 4900 block of Haygood Road, died August 27, 1998, at a local hospital.

A native of Washington, Pa., he was owner of Stauffer Residential Building and the widower of Marion M. Stauffer. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion No. 234 and the American Vets. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star with a ''V'' for valor and two Purple Hearts; Presidential Unit Citation; Good Conduct Medal; Army Occupation (Japan); National Defense Medal; Korean Service Medal, in lieu of three Bronze Stars; United Nations Medal; and Korean Presidential Citation.

Survivors include three sons, David Morrison of Norfolk, Robert Morrison and Lee Stauffer, both of Virginia Beach; and a granddaughter, Kara Morrison of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Colonial Grove Memorial Park by the Rev. Dr. James R. Driscoll. The family will receive friends at their residence. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
