Mary Margaret V. "Mollie" (MOORE) Taylor was born about 1844-1845, probably in Tennessee. She was the daughter of Robert W. Moore (1813-abt 1861) and wife Mary E. (SHORT) Moore (1811-abt 1865). Mary had several siblings: Frances A., James M., Harriet Ann, Margaret L., Z. Sophronia, Thomas Houston, Carolina, Rose, and maybe a brother named Ben. Mary Margaret Moore married GREEN R. TAYLOR on April 6, 1864, in Williamson Co., TX. Her brother Thomas Houston Moore later married Green's sister, Janey Candis TAYLOR.

In 1850, Mary Margaret resided with her parents in Marshall Co., Mississippi. By 1860, she and her parents' household were living in Bastrop, Texas. In 1870, Mary Margaret was married to Green R. Taylor and residing in Bell Co., TX. (Bell Co. was formed out of Milam Co.)

Green and Mary had three known children: Margaret Louella "Lula" (Taylor) Ross, Annie Cordelia (Taylor) Moseley, and son Lee Roy Taylor.

Mary died sometime between 1875 and 1878. Her last child was born in 1875, and her widowed husband remarried to his 2nd wife in January 1879. Mary is probably buried somewhere near husband Green R. Taylor in the Graham Family Cemetery at Davilla, TX.
