Billie Edris Harris of Oklahoma City, OK passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on February 15, 2020 at the age of 94. Billie Edris Adams was born in Fargo, Oklahoma on Friday, March 27, 1925. Billie, or Edris, as she was known by many, was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She made many friends through the years and maintained those friendships for life.

She lived a long life and was many things to many people. Billie was a pioneers daughter, a ranchers wife, a proud mother, a hard worker, a business owner, a traveler, and a collector.
She had fond memories of being active in school, participating in band, basketball and other activities. As she was older, she still loved basketball and attending games. But what she was most proud of was her family. Seeing a twinkle in her eye brought joy for those who knew her best.

Billie married William B. Smith (Bill) in 1942 and they had four sons together: Ronald Wade Smith, William Bradford Smith, Robert Dean Smith and Gregory Scott Smith.

She is proceeded in death by one son Ronald Wade Smith, parents Anona and Bill Adams, sister Madelene Smith, and husband William B. Smith and Harold E. Harris. Survivors include Robert Dean Smith and Carolyn Sullivan; Gregory Scott Smith and Doug Finch: Tracy, Alex and Kira Bacon; Lindsey, Patrick, Brayden, Bentley and Blake Simmons all of Oklahoma City, OK; Nicole and Terry Hicks, their children and grandchildren of Lubbock, TX; Brad, Carolyn, Will and Mary Grace Smith of Austin, TX: and numerous other family and friends.

Billie worked for several years as a bookkeeper at C.E. Sharp Lumber Company in Woodward, OK. After her move to Wichita, KS she and her husband, Harold, owned and operated a retail store. She worked hard and was diligent in saving money through life. During her retirement years she loved to work in her garden, tending to her rose bushes, sewing, crafting, and visiting with friends. She loved to travel and explore new areas but her favorite vacations were those spent visiting and spending time with family. Many fun memories were made.

The family wishes to thank Danielle Gordon who was her loyal friend and caregiver. Danielle provided loving care to Billie for over twelve years and they had many fun times together.

A graveside service has been planned for 2:00 Monday, February 17 at the Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, Oklahoma.
