He was born July 10, 1927 in Mill Creek, Oklahoma to parents, Thomas Taylor and Onie Lee (Kitchens) Beck. The family moved to Petitt, Texas where Clifford attended school until joining the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII.
Clifford worked for Haliburton Oil Company and was owner/operator of the Southside Laundry. He moved to Indiana where he worked for Mayflower Moving Company, was a truck salesman for Denny Grounds Ford Dealership, tool pusher for RCA in Indianapolis, salesman for Blue Point, and worked for Jack Paul Service.
He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Disabled Veterans, Chapter 237 and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1815.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sisters, Alice Glass and Betty Long; step-daughters, Pam Greer and Pat Riggs; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Anna Mae Beck and Thelma Copeland; brothers-in-law, Gene Copeland, Wallace Glass and Charles Long; step-daughter, Sue Paul; and step-son, Gregg Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moose Charities, 155 International Dr., Mooseheart, Illinois 60539, or a favorite charity of your choice.
