Robert A. Clancy "Bob", 93, solider, sailor, father and friend passed into Grace February 7, 2020. Bob was born May 27, 1926 in San Francisco, CA to the late Andrew J. Clancy and Clara Winters Clancy being the youngest of four brothers. He was devoted to his family, service to his country and everyone he called a friend. Bob served his country as a Radio Sargent in WWII and then finished his military career in the U. S. Navy retiring as an AC1 after 21 years of service. He enjoyed coaching his kids in all of their various sports and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals and our Super Bowl Champions the Kansas City Chiefs. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 47 years, Lenore Clancy; daughter, Cherie Clancy; son, Patrick Clancy and his three older brothers: Stanley, Andrew and John. He is survived by his son, Robert M. Clancy; daughter, Tina Clancy Crouch; son, William Clancy; daughter-in-law, Kim Clancy; grandchildren: Kristopher, Joshua, Jaclyn, Carolyn and Elizabeth; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous bonus sons and daughters that he cared for as his own. Bob was thankful for everyone that touched his life and those of his family. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 10:00am – 12:00pm with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00pm at McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061. Burial will follow afterwards at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS 66062. There will be a gathering at the American Legion on Dennis Ave in Olathe from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
