Ronald Arthur Broad Barrett - Smith, SSgt (retired USAF), 86, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, in Surprise, AZ. He was born November 7, 1933 in New York City, NY to Leonard & Margaret (Harrison) Barrett - Smith.

Ron served in the US Air Force for 17 years before receiving a medical retirement. Following his military retirement, Ron earned is Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University. He worked for Larimer County in Colorado and later moved to Arizona where he worked until he finally retired.

Ron is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Rita Rae (Thomas); his daughter, Raejene "PeeWee" (Donny); his son, Robyn (Angela); four grandchildren, Ashleigh "Bumps" (Jason), Rayne, Rachel, and Ryne; three great grandchildren, Jaxon, Reese, and Logan.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors by the US Air Force will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
