Roberta was a homemaker and assisted Wayne on the farm. She was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Women and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and birdwatching. Roberta loved to bake, each year she would bake bread and cakes to enter in the county fair as a friendly competition with her friends. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Jon) Cunningham of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three sons, Robert (Danita) of Letts, Iowa, Roger (Melba) Cox of Ottumwa, Iowa, Ronald (Amy) of Mooresville, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Wilma Marsh; and a brother-in-law, Willis Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Viva Stonehouse; three sisters, Anna Ruth Huffman, Wilma Hoskins, Mary Smith; two brothers, Richard Stonehouse and Herbert Stonehouse.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Kilbourne Cemetery in rural Van Buren County. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 with family present to greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home - Keosauqua.
