Dennis Andrew Pierce, 89, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2020. He had lived most of his life in the Ringgold area where he was a member of Salem Valley Baptist Church and the Quitman Masonic Lodge F&AM No 106. He retired from Dixie Yarns/Candlewick in 1994 with 46 years of service. Mr. Pierce was a talented musician who enjoyed playing music with his family throughout the years. His passions in life were God, family, music, hunting with his dogs, and riding his horses.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Carrie Bell Pierce; his parents; and five sisters and three brothers.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donna McKaig, Denise (Randy) Kinsey, Deborah (Michael) Holsomback, and Shelia (Tony) Osbourn; three sisters, Dorothy Riddle, Beatrice Bridges, and Ramine Sneed; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Don Self and Reverend Sam Dillard officiating.

Interment will follow in the Salem Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-8p.m. and Monday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
