Funeral services at the O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home, for William A. Hanno, 76, of 402 Wellington Street. Mr. Hanno died on Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota, of a coronary thrombosis.

He was born on June 2, 1884, at Avoca, the son of Claus and Pauline Hanno. He married Martha Gaden in Remsen, on September 29, 1909.

Mr. Hanno was a banker for 18 years in Hudson and Ackley and other towns before coming to Waterloo in 1935. In recent years and up to the time of his death he was an elevator operator for the James Black Realty Company.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. E.W. Hart of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Beatrice Speer, of Marshalltown, Mrs. Byron Bell, of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Walter Johnson of Arcadia, California; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
