Deborah “Debbie” Jean Baker, 66, of Fairmont, passed away at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport on Thursday, February 13, 2020. She was born on September 05, 1953, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Barron C. and Jean (Cartwriter) Hall.

Debbie graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 1972. She later went on to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She will be remembered for her love of her animals, watching game shows, and feeding wildlife, but most of all, her love of her family, especially her cherished granddaughter, Jocelyn.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, Carl Baker.

She is also survived by son, Matthew Jack, of Fairmont; daughter, Laila Jenkins, of Fairmont; and granddaughter, Jocelyn Jade Jenkins, of Fairmont.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, James “Albert” Jenkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, WV 26554 to offset the funeral expenses.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, Debbie will be cremated, with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
